Tara made this lovely, bright kaleidoscope quilt as a first quilting project and a baby gift.

       

This is a tortilla storybook quilt made by Rouye for a friend who teaches in the Houston area.

        

Debbie from Katy, Texas, pieced this scrappy bed quilt.  I got a little carried away photographing back views because the muslin showed the stitching so well.

  

Leola pieced this fun quilt for her grandson -- and says it just kept growing and taking on a shape of its own so she calls it "Oh my stars, it's not square!"  The navy portion was quilted with an overall similar to the one below, while the stars and the light portions of the sampler blocks were stippled. 

     

Zola embroidered and pieced this fabulous angel quilt for her granddaughter.  She preferred I not quilt in the embroidered blocks so the sashing was outlined and the lavender areas were quilted with an overall design in rayon thread.  It is a truly lovely quilt. 

     

Brenda pieced this wonderful, bright quilt.  It was quilted in an overall freehand design in a variegated thread.  The third photo is of the back and shows the quilting design. 

     

Kay created this wonderful, bright four patch variation and wanted floral feathers quilted overall.  The variegated thread was wonderful on the finished quilt.

     

Mary created a wonderful trip around the world with some beautiful, restful greens.  The back shows the feathers quilted in the lighter sections with paisley meander in the darker sections and border.

     

Phyllis created this T-shirt quilt for her daughter from some of her old sorority mementos.  It was a tough first quilt for her to choose!

     

Helen pieced this lovely scrappy quilt with primitive appliqué hearts.  The quilt was stippled with rose thread with cream thread in the area around the hearts. 

        

Paula created this wonderful log cabin quilt for her grandson.  The dark sections and borders were quilted with stippling and the light zig-zags were quilted with a meandering leaf.

     

This Texas theme quilt was made by Betty for her daughter in California.

  

This star quilt made with autumn colors incorporated 3D star points on the solid middle stars.  Pandora requested leaves in the centers of the open stars with meandering surrounding. 

This bright quilt was made by J'Na and has a large meander over the surface in bright variegated thread.
