Photo Album - Pantograph Examples

This type of quilting is done following a narrow design on a long printed pattern roll repetitively over the entire length of the quilt.  There are many lovely designs available, some where the repetitive nature of the quilting enhances the design, others which attempt to disguise the repeats.  It is not possible to plan particular thread colors or designs for small sections -- the quilting will be the same over the entire quilt.  I will be happy to assist you in determining if this is the ideal quilting for your top or if meander or custom quilting is more suitable.

Judie made a quilt focusing on a schoolhouse print fabric -- and somehow my photo of the full quilt did not turn out but this shows the quilting with gold thread and how it pulled together the colors.

This was a first quilt for Peggy and she should really be proud of it!  It was quilted with a pantograph and variegated thread, which helped unify the assortment of blocks.

This comfy quilt was Terri's Christmas present for her husband.  It was quilted with a pantograph.  What could be nicer than snowmen on a snowball quilt in flannel?

Terri put this top together in a mystery workshop and the double rose vine finished it nicely as a graduation gift for a young lady.

This lovely autumn colored flannel quilt is Diane's first -- and a very special gift for her husband.  It was quilted with a drifting leaves adaptation.

Lila put together this wonderful Double T rail fence quilt for her granddaughter.  It was quilted with the starburst pantograph.

Sorry that I didn't get a full shot of this lovely quilt by Pandora.  She requested the Texas fan pantograph pattern in a variegated thread and it added a lot to this multicolored brights on black quilt.

Two of the five tops I quilted for the Alamo Heights Quilt Guild project to provide sixty bed quilts to a fire station in New York after 911.  I hoped to help by finishing some of the quilts made by groups and beginners who wanted to participate in this ambitious project.
